Junction
Junction is the main system in FF VIII. The term may be a unheard one. Junction is actually the same as the old one: "Equip", differs only in the object. There are no equipping in FF VIII (even for weapons) since they have been replaced with "Junction". It allows you to "equip" magics to all of your parameters and increasing them. In certain cases, junction gives you some effects like status ailments immunity or else.... By the way, you need a GF before you do junction.
Draw
All magics are obtained by drawing from enemies or draw points. You need to equip a GF with command ability "Draw" before drawing magics.
* Magics can also be obtained from items.
